Spartan Financial Partners, a division of ACA, specializes in providing capital solutions including Lines of Credit and Bulk Purchases for Buy Here Pay Here dealers and Independent Auto Finance companies across the country.


    Spartan Financial Partners (Spartan) has a need to expand their team.  The Director of Business Development will lead business development activities for bulk acquisitions and lines of credit through active solicitation and cultivation of new client relationships in an assigned market area. The principal role of the Director of Business Development is meeting with prospects, developing strong relationships in their respective marketplace, and closing business. It is essential that the Director of Business Development builds strong relationships with Centers of Influence by networking with CPA’s, attorneys, dealer management system providers and other vendors serving the auto finance marketplace.


    • Identify and develop new business relationships that drive incremental profitability.
    • 50%-60% of time will be spent in market generating business by meeting with prospects, attending industry events and networking functions.
    • Manage a team of inside and outside Business Development managers by focusing on sales KPIs and other productivity measures.
    • Work closely with Centers of Influence to include CPA’s, attorneys, dealer management system providers and other vendors to assist in driving new business.
    • Assess and deliver creative working capital solutions to automobile dealerships and auto finance companies.
    • Have in-depth experience of the pre-qualification, structuring and pricing on all bulk acquisitions or credit requests to adhere to Spartan Financial Partners profitability standards.
    • Coordinate credit underwriting, due diligence and loan documentation with internal and external partners.
    • Leverage sales and customer relationship data and analytics to drive insights.
    • Meet and exceed sales growth in portfolio acquisitions, lines of credit, revenue growth, profitability and client acquisitions.


    • Bachelor’s Degree required or years of relevant experience.
    • 10+ years in financial services or related field.
    • Strong product and new business development/b2b sales skills.
    • Understanding of dealership and finance company business models and cash flow sources.
    • Thorough knowledge of general accounting and finance principles.
    • Good communication skills including the use of verbal and written communication as well as timely and accurate data entry in the American Credit Acceptance CRM system.
    • Demonstrated track record of success and performance in a business development role.


    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position will manage a small team of business development professionals and support functions.


    Work Environment and Physical Demands

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.



    This position will require up to 60% travel.
