  • Overview

    The Line of Credit Auditor / Data Analyst will provide critical data reporting and analytics capabilities while monitoring performance to identify improvement opportunities.  This role would analyze complex data structures to generate useful business insights and develop reporting to monitor business critical results. A team member of the Line of Credit Audit team with the following skills, auditor, data consultation, data gathering, and data analysis. 

       

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

     

    Work Environment and Physical Demands

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

     

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday through Friday with some schedule variations as needed.  Hours may vary or exceed 40 in any given week depending on the needs of the business.

     

    Travel

    Up to 10% travel may be needed in this role.

    Responsibilities

    • Gain a thorough understanding of the complete Line of Credit Audit processes and procedures. Communicate with business leadership and customers to establish data requirements; quantitative and qualitative analysis
    • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
    • Create tools or queries to obtain data from central data repository for the purposes of reporting and analysis.
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
    • Present final analysis to audit leadership and customers.
    • Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
    • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
    • Assist with the development of audits to include audit objectives, scopes, programs, questionnaires, procedures, work papers, and timetables.
    • Contribute to team effort through accomplishing other tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Experience with SQL or similar data querying language
    • Experience with programming language
    • Experience with Excel and VBA
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Degree from an analytical / statistical field
    • 2+ years’ audit experience
    • 2+ years’ experience with SQL
    • 2+ years’ experience with Excel and VBA
