  • Privacy Program Manager/ Sr. Manager

  • Overview

    The Privacy Program Sr. Manager will create and manage processes for the Privacy Office and Sr. Counsel, including liaising with senior leaders at ACA and liaising with third parties. This position will support ACA’s Privacy Office and ACA’s Legal Department.


    Privacy Office Support

    • Manage ACA’s company-wide privacy risk assessment/privacy impact assessment including planning and designing the program and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues, and initiating appropriate corrective action
      • Assist the Privacy Officer with development, implementation & sustenance of the Privacy program across ACA.
      • Deploy tools and methodologies to support the privacy program
      • Partner with IT and Information Security to ensure that Records at ACA are secure and ACA’s network has privacy controls. Understand and sign off on IT and Information Security implementation of controls regarding compliance to privacy laws
      • Conducting data privacy impact assessments and or privacy risk assessment as and when required
      • Manage reporting tools that show where ACA’s data is located and the workflow of the data.
    • Manage projects in Privacy to ensure compliance with applicable laws including managing each department’s contribution to the Privacy Program
    • Manage communications with all stakeholders
    • Monitor and keep up to date with Privacy and information security federal and state laws
    • Assist with the implementation of the Records Retention Policy within ACA and with vendors
    • Assist with responding to questions from various department re Privacy and Privacy Notice


    Legal Department Support

    • Manage regulatory compliance issues for ACA including assisting the business understand regulatory requirements for the business.


    • Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected regulatory projects deciding on suitable strategies and objectives
    • Manage legal deliverables as the need arise and interface with Senior Leaders,

    Qualifications and skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • Graduate degree, privacy and/or information security certification required (within 120 days of hire)
    • Previous work experience in privacy, information security, project management, or compliance required
    • More than 5 years’ work experience required
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Ability to coordinate cross-project activities
    • Ability to command respect and to create a sense of community
    • Strong sense of organization
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Proficient in MS Office (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), internet navigation and must have the ability to learn new systems
    • Paralegal a plus
    • Work experience in document review a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external parties

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has supervisory responsibilities beyond regulatory project supervision.


    Work Environment and Physical Demands

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.
