  • Overview

    The Vendor Operations Manager will provide management and leadership to the following: 

    Coordination and administration of service provider relationships and diligence.

                   Manage a vendor compliance due diligence and administration program, helps ensure integration and compliance with contractual and operational statement of work requirements

    Responsibilities

      • Vendor/Contract Management & Sourcing
        • Support the Vendor Management Officer
        • Focus on optimizing costs of overall vendor spend while delivering quality customer service to the internal & external customers we support
        • Competency in risk assessment evaluation tools & techniques necessary for vendor evaluation and selection: scorecards, procedures, assessments
        • Expertise with strategic sourcing processes: RFI, RFP, bidding, justification, negotiation and contracting
        • Understanding of contracting processes and procedures including terms and conditions, pricing, statements of work, amendments, and NDA’s
        • Ability to work well with vendors, internal customers, and third party/internal compliance groups
        • Ability to influence & lead vendor negotiations and/or facilitate discussions with vendors and internal requestors/customers
        • Resolve internal and vendor issues and conflicts throughout the vendor lifecycle
      • Project Management
        • Above average Project Management experience preferred
      • Knowledge Management
        • Lead, Develop and maintain standard processes for capturing and sharing knowledge and training across the team(s)
      • Executive and Team Communications
        • Create periodic and ad-hoc executive updates reporting key team achievements and progress against plan, in a succinct format for an executive audience
        • Lead & manage communications within the team(s)
      • Implement tools and processes
        • Influence, recommend and drive enhancements within the VMO to support an ever-expanding, dynamic analytic delivery facility
      • Team Management
        • Estimates staffing needs and schedules and assigns work for the department. Makes decisions on pay, performance, appraisals, work schedules, discipline and hiring.
        • Will manage analyst resource(s)

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Five years of experience in Vendor Management or related areas such as Sourcing, Vendor Compliance, Vendor Risk Management, and Contracting in a regulated environment (ie: CFPB, NYDFS, FFIEC, OCC etc…)
    • Must have 3 or more years of experience in managing direct report(s)
    • Candidate must possess strong enterprise vendor relationship management skills, including working in a matrixed environment and interacting with Sr management.
