Overview

Are you passionate about crafting engaging training experiences for operational and call center teams? Join us! We're seeking an Instructional Designer to create effective and outcome-focused training plans to support operational training for new and existing associates across multiple onshore and overseas locations. This role operates fully onsite in our Spartanburg, SC office.

 

Essential Functions

  • Develop comprehensive instructional content to support operational training needs using a variety of software, including Microsoft Office and Articulate products.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, trainers, and leaders to understand training needs, design a training strategy, develop instructional materials, and prepare trainers to deliver an effective experience.
  • Create a variety of training materials including presentations, speaking notes, handouts, participant guides, videos, activities, e-learning lessons, and assessments.
  • Ensure all training materials adhere to compliance regulations and established business processes.
  • Utilize basic instructional design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) while maintaining flexibility to deliver timely and high-quality training content to meet business objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate and update training agendas and content for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years in content and curriculum development within a compliance-oriented environment, preferably in an operation or call center environment. Prior experience in finance or collections is a plus.
  • Education: BA/BS in a related field (Training, Instructional Design, Communications, etc.)
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience with Articulate 360 and Rise is a plus.
  • Communication: Strong writing and collaboration skills
  • Flexibility: Leverages an adaptable approach using instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, SAM).
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with high-quality work.

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.

 

Travel

This position will require up to 5% travel to other offices, as needed.
