Overview

As a Corporate Recruiter with American Credit Acceptance you will lead the recruitment processes for their designated teams, managing both exploratory roles and executive-level candidates. In this role, you'll develop and implement strategic hiring plans for each department, focusing on sourcing passive candidates to ensure we attract the best talent.  You will be responsible for the full recruitment life cycle, maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers and vendors across the organization. While you may have a coordinator or specialist supporting you, your primary focus will be on executing recruitment strategies and driving continuous process improvement.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive search and recruiting strategies to attract candidates for various corporate departments throughout the organization including C-suite, VP, and Director-level positions.
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including direct outreach, networking, industry research, and partnerships with executive search firms.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for roles throughout the organization including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer negotiation.

 Candidate Evaluation & Selection:

    • Conduct in-depth interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to define role requirements and desired candidate profiles.

Stakeholder Management:

    • Build strong relationships with senior management and department heads to understand organizational needs and provide consultative recruitment support.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor on market trends, salary benchmarks, and hiring best practices.

Process Management:

    • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate communications, interview coordination, and offer negotiations.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records and recruitment metrics.

Employer Branding & Networking:

    • Promote the company's brand and values to potential candidates and the broader professional community.
    • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build and maintain a robust talent pipeline.

Compliance & Reporting:

    • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
    • Provide regular reports and insights on recruitment metrics, market trends, and candidate feedback.
    • Independently establishes and continues to build relationships with hiring managers, keeping them consistently updated on status of open roles, strategies for upcoming needs, and managing hiring plans created by both.
    • Recruit for multiple positions within the company within designated department(s) or teams but also could be pulled into other roles as needed.
    • Helps to find alternative recruiting sources to pro-actively search for passive candidates. Share candidates found with others on team when skill-sets cross roles/departments.
    • Assists with the day-to-day efficient operation of the hiring process and ensure proper documentation in the ATS.
    • No hesitation in communication with candidates – regarding negotiation of pay, relocation, difficult scenario discussions. Always anticipating and asking the proper and necessary questions to find the best fit.
    • Anticipate needs/requests of candidates in advance of prepping and coordinating offers. Should be ahead of the process in communication with HM and candidate.  Make hiring managers aware of candidate’s needs and communication is clear all around.  
    • Successfully maintains contact with formerly rejected candidates (or those who decline us) and brings them back into play when alternate roles become available or to just check-in on them in the future.
    • Works to meet all hiring goals; including time to fill, retention, etc
    • Goes above/beyond – doesn’t work to the needs today, but helps to build the needs of tomorrow.
    • Takes on projects for the team, balancing with daily responsibilities.
    • Embraces their own strengths and helps to train and share best practices with team – helping to keep up with technology/recruiting trends
    • Vendor relationships – helps establish relationships, works with specialists to both handle relationships, and tracks/communicates fills / spend with vendors to rank success. Should be aware of hiring statistics (themselves vs. vendors) and work to balance accordingly.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recruitment experience, preferably multiple years in corporate environment. Experience to include leadership roles.
  • Has previously developed and executed on strategy to fill roles.
  • Applicant Tracking System experience.
  • Experience effectively utilizing social media resources in recruitment.
  • High level of professionalism, including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems and suggest and implement solutions to others on the team.
  • Ability to connect with people and anticipate and execute on next steps/needs with candidates and hiring managers.

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.

 

Travel

This position will require up to 10% travel.
